A simple allocation such as the traditional 60:40 equity : bond split fared extraordinarily well as equity prices soared and bond yields dropped. Given the volatility experienced over 2022 and with asset classes moving in tandem leading to a poor outcome for most investors; could this be a time when absolute target return portfolios regain prominence?
