Jaina Varsani, Vice President, joined the firm in August 2020. Jaina is a Client Portfolio Manager within the Fixed Income team where she represents the broad range of the firm’s fixed income strategies in the institutional and intermediary marketplaces across the EMEA region. Before joining the firm, she was an Investment Specialist at M&G Plc covering Institutional Fixed Income portfolios. Prior to this, she was at JP Morgan as part of the Treasury Corporate Sales Team and Credit Portfolio Group. She received a First Class BSc (Honors) in Economics at the London School of Economics and is a CFA Charter holder.

Steven provides macroeconomic and strategy input, notably as part of asset allocation
process for the multi asset solutions unit.
He joined F&C Asset management in 2013 which ultimately became Columbia
Threadneedle, after seven years running a successful Global Macro hedge fund at GLC Ltd.
Before that, he spent 20 years at Deutsche Bank and predecessor companies as Global Chief
Economist and Head of Global Markets Research.
Steven has economics degrees from the London School of Economics and Stanford
University and started his career as an Economic Adviser at the UK Treasury. He prepares a
popular weekly macro video podcast, appears regularly on TV and radio and has written
numerous articles on finance and economics.

Emerging market debt as an asset class is potentially poised for a rebound after widespread
selloff this year following a sharp rise in US rates, the Ukraine conflict and macro
